The Drawings viewer gives you two ways to work with your project drawings. The list view lets you browse, filter, and inspect your drawing library — including revision history, action items, and per-drawing AI chat. The Canvas is a full annotation and measurement environment where you can draw shapes, tag building elements, and use AI to detect and refine geometry.
Browsing your drawing library
Click Drawings in the left sidebar to open the drawings list.Filtering drawingsUse the filters at the top of the list to narrow down what you see:
- Revision Set — filter to the current revision, all revisions, or a specific set.
- Discipline — show only drawings from a particular discipline (for example, architectural or structural).
- Sub-project — limit the view to a specific sub-project.
Inspecting a drawingClick any drawing to open it in the viewer. A drawer on the right side of the screen shows:
- Metadata — drawing number, title, revision, and other file properties.
- Revision history — a timeline of all revisions uploaded for that drawing.
- Action items — tasks or issues associated with the drawing.
AI chat per drawingOpen the AI chat drawer from the right panel to ask questions about the current drawing in natural language. You can query dimensions, element counts, specification references, and more.Working in the Canvas
Open a drawing in the Canvas from the header bar or a direct link. The Canvas is organised into a floating bottom toolbar for drawing tools and a set of sidebar panels for reviewing and editing annotated elements.
- Grab — pan around the drawing by clicking and dragging.
- Select — click to select existing shapes and objects on the canvas.
Use the floating bottom toolbar to access the drawing tools:
- Polygon — draw freeform polygons to outline areas of any shape.
- Rectangle — draw rectangular regions quickly.
- Polyline — draw lines and paths across the drawing.
- AI Draw — let the AI detect and trace shapes automatically based on the drawing geometry.
- Assign — tag selected shapes with an element type: wall, door, window, ceiling, and more.
- Cut — split a shape along a line to divide it into separate pieces.
- Merge — combine overlapping shapes into a single unified shape.
These tools appear when you have a shape selected:
- Edit Shape — drag individual vertices to adjust the shape’s geometry manually.
- Redraw — use AI-powered refinement to improve the accuracy of the selected shape.
- Smart Polygon — use interactive point-based adjustment to reshape a polygon precisely.
The left sidebar shows a list of items on the current drawing, organised by element type — walls, doors, windows, and ceilings. Click the type icons to switch between categories. The right-side panels provide context-specific detail for selected items:
- Edit — properties of the currently selected item.
- Summary — project statistics and floor-level summaries.
- Wall / Door / Window / Finishes Details — detailed property panels for each element type.
Calibrate your drawings before annotating. Open the calibration dialog and set a known measurement so that all area and length calculations reflect real-world dimensions accurately.
Use the Canvas and Schedules tabs in the header to switch between annotation mode and schedule views. Right-click on any shape to access a context menu with additional actions.
