# Introduction to CIM Build

> CIM Build is an AI-powered platform that analyses construction documents to surface design risks, track drawing changes, and verify specification compliance.

CIM Build transforms the way construction teams work with project documents. You upload your PDF drawings and specifications — architectural, structural, MEP, and more — and the platform's AI pipelines process them automatically to detect design risks, identify clashes between disciplines, track changes across revisions, and check compliance against your specifications. Instead of manually reviewing hundreds of pages, you get structured, actionable insight the moment processing completes.

## How it works

CIM Build follows a straightforward workflow that mirrors how construction projects actually progress:

1. **Upload** your drawings and documents as a Tender Set, Contract Set, or Revision.
2. **Process** the revision set — CIM Build splits, analyses, and indexes every page.
3. **Set a contract baseline** to lock in the issued-for-construction drawing set.
4. **Run analysis** — the Risk Register, Change Register, Clash Analysis, and Audit Checklist all operate against the processed documents.
5. **Interrogate** your project using AI Chat, asking questions in plain language about any drawing or specification.
